Stretch Your Way to More Progress

Stretching and warming up: not the sexiest part of your workout I know, but the value of priming your body and mind before lifting is one that is vastly underrated by many lifters, especially the newbies. I get it, we get all hopped up on pre workout and then when we finally get to the gym, we just want to get in there and get the job done.

Your favorite music in your ears, some Dustv2 and Hype Reloaded running through your veins and butterflies in your stomach anticipating the session that’s about to take place.

But, what if I told you that you were selling your coveted gym time short by not properly priming the muscle you are about to train?

What if I told you your session would be more productive, your strength better and lessen the likelihood of injury by just stretching and warming up for 15 minutes or so before each training session?

I don’t know about you guys but I look for every advantage to make the most progress possible. I personally spend a lot of time, effort and money on prepping my meals, taking the right supplements and tracking all my workouts. So why not take the 15 minutes or so to maximize my session and results further?

Just try it if you don’t believe me. I personally use some bands, stretching movements and even a few yoga techniques before every session. Don’t ignore this vital part of your training any further. Incorporate it into your gym routine and your body will thank you!
