Product Overview

HYPE Reloaded is the ultimate pump product, surpassing HYPE and HYPE Extreme. This stimulant-free pre-workout delivers skin-splitting pumps, increased vascularity, and extreme cell volumization.

The Formula

Ingredients

Citrulline Malate 2:1 (6g) enhances nitric oxide production by increasing arginine levels in the blood. Citrulline Malate supports greater vasodilation, “blood flow”, energy production, and PUMPS.

Glycerol Monostearate (2g) is an organic molecule used as an emulsifier. GMS is a white, odorless, and sweet-tasting flaky powder that is hygroscopic. It is a glycerol ester of stearic acid. It occurs naturally in the body as a by-product of the breakdown of fats, and is also found in fatty foods.

Alpha GPC (300mg) fosters a strong mind-muscle connection by increasing levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, a.k.a. “the learning neurotransmitter.” WIth Alpha GPC, you’ll feel every muscle fiber becoming engorged as you grind out rep after rep.

Horny Goat Weed (150mg) contains icariin, a flavonol that enhances nitric oxide synthase (NOS), the enzyme that catalyzes NO production in the body. Icariin promotes greater “blood flow” to all areas of the body, improving nutrient and oxygen delivery as well as performance and muscle pumps.

Potassium Chloride(100mg) is an important mineral used in various bodily functions. It is an important factor in the normal transfer of nutrients through cell membranes.* Potassium is found in a number of foods, including dairy, fish, and other meats, fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Because food processing can reduce the levels of naturally occurring nutrients in foods, supplementation may help to insure adequate intake..

L-Norvaline (100mg) bolsters the effects of Citrulline Malate by further blunting arginase activity in the body. This duo of NO boosting supplements allows for bigger, stronger, and longer-lasting pumps that remain for hours after you’re finished training.

Recommended Use

Pre-Workouts: The Basics

What is a pre-workout supplement?

A pre-workout is what you take when the gym matters.

A pre-workout supplement is a powder or capsule formula you take 20 to 30 minutes before training to amplify focus, energy, blood flow, and endurance. Done right, it's the difference between dragging through a workout and crushing it. Done wrong, it's flavored caffeine in a fancy tub.

The strongest pre-workouts combine stimulants (caffeine, DMHA) with pump ingredients (citrulline, agmatine) and focus enhancers (tyrosine, huperzine A, DMAE). Each ingredient does a specific job. The good formulas dose them correctly. The cheap ones hide behind "proprietary blends" and hope you don't notice.

Bottom line: a real pre-workout is built for lifters who train like their results actually matter.

How do pre-workouts actually work?

Pre-workouts work by stacking ingredients that hit your body in sequence to prime you for hard training.

Caffeine and other stimulants kick in first — within 5 to 15 minutes — sharpening focus, raising heart rate, and increasing perceived energy. Strong-stim pre-workouts like Dust X use DMHA (also called 2-Aminoisoheptane) alongside caffeine, supported by nootropics like DMAE that extend cognitive focus well past the stimulant window — for a sustained, locked-in feel that lasts 6 hours or more without the typical crash.

While the stim stack is hitting, vasodilators like citrulline malate and agmatine sulfate are opening up blood vessels for stronger pumps, better nutrient delivery, and increased endurance. Beta-alanine buffers lactic acid buildup so you can grind out more reps before fatigue. Focus ingredients like L-tyrosine and huperzine A keep your head in the game long after you leave the gym.

When the formula is right, all of this happens together — not as a spike followed by a crash, but as a sustained performance window that gives you 90 minutes to 2 hours of peak intensity, then tapers off cleanly.

When and how should I take a pre-workout?

Take your pre-workout 20 to 30 minutes before training. That gives the stimulants and pump ingredients time to fully absorb so you walk into the gym already turning on.

The half-scoop rule.

If you're new to a product — or new to pre-workout in general — start with a half scoop. This is true for almost every pre-workout on the market, and it's especially true for high-stim formulas like Dust X. Use a full scoop only after you've confirmed you tolerate the stack.

Mix and timing.

  • Mix one scoop into 8 to 12 oz (240–350 mL) of cold water. Shake until fully dissolved.
  • Drink the full mix within 15 minutes — don't sip it slowly. Spreading the dose out reduces the kinesthetic effect and can lead to over-stimulation if you start sipping again later.
  • Take on an empty or light stomach for fastest absorption. Eating a heavy meal beforehand delays the kick by 30+ minutes.
  • Hydrate aggressively throughout your session. Pre-workouts increase sweat output and fluid demand.

Never take high-stim pre-workouts after 4 PM unless you want to be awake at 2 AM.

Are pre-workouts safe?

Pre-workouts are safe when used as directed by healthy adults who understand what they're taking. They're not safe for everyone, and they're not designed to be.

Who should not use high-stim pre-workouts:

  • Anyone under 18.
  • Anyone with high blood pressure, heart conditions, or cardiovascular concerns.
  • Anyone taking prescription stimulants, MAOIs, or blood pressure medication.
  • Anyone pregnant or nursing.
  • Anyone particularly sensitive to caffeine or other stimulants — consider a stim-free pre-workout like Hype Reloaded instead.

If you have any underlying medical condition or are on prescription medication, consult your physician before adding a pre-workout to your routine. This isn't a legal disclaimer — it's actual advice. Some pre-workout ingredients interact with medications, and a 30-second conversation with your doctor can prevent real problems.

For healthy adults using the product as directed, the most common side effects are the beta-alanine tingles (harmless, expected), a brief jaw flush, and — if you take a full scoop your first time on a strong formula — over-stimulation that feels like anxiety. The fix for the third one is taking half a scoop.

What's the difference between high-stim and low-stim pre-workouts?

It's the single most important question a buyer needs to answer before picking a pre-workout. The wrong choice means either a wasted tub or a panic attack.

High-stim pre-workouts

Built around aggressive stimulants like DMHA (also known as 2-Aminoisoheptane) alongside caffeine, often supported by nootropics like DMAE for extended cognitive focus. These hit hard, lock you in, and last 6+ hours. They're built for experienced lifters who train hard and have already built some tolerance to caffeine and stim products. Dust X is in this category. Most lifters who want to train like they did at 22 belong here.

Low-stim or stim-free pre-workouts

Built around pump and endurance ingredients with minimal or zero stimulants. These deliver vasodilation, focus, and stamina without elevating heart rate or creating any chance of jitters. Hype Reloaded is in this category. Good fit for stim-sensitive lifters, anyone who trains late in the day, or anyone using pre-workout daily who wants to avoid building tolerance.

Most experienced lifters keep both on hand and choose based on the day.

Should I cycle pre-workouts or take them every day?

Cycle them. Daily use of high-stim pre-workouts will eventually catch up with you — not as a sudden problem, but as a slow erosion of how strong they feel.

Your body adapts to stimulants over time. Caffeine tolerance builds in 2 to 3 weeks. Heavy-stim ingredients like DMHA take longer but follow the same pattern. The product that hit hard your first week becomes the product that does nothing by week six.

Two strategies experienced lifters use:

  • Reserve high-stim pre-workouts for your hardest training days only — leg day, deadlift day, PR attempts. Use a low-stim formula or skip pre-workout on lighter days.
  • Cycle high-stim pre-workouts. Take them for 4 to 6 weeks, then take a 2 to 4 week break (or switch to stim-free) to reset your tolerance. When you come back, they hit like the first time.

If your pre-workout suddenly stops working, you're not getting older. You burned out your adrenals. Take a break and use Adrenal Care to help with the reset.

What should I look for on a pre-workout label?

Read the label before you buy. The supplement industry counts on you not doing this.

Five things that matter:

  • Full ingredient transparency. Every ingredient and dose listed individually — not buried inside a "proprietary blend." If they won't tell you the doses, it's because the doses are too low to matter.
  • Citrulline malate at 4g or higher. This is the dose required for real pumps. Anything less is window dressing.
  • Beta-alanine at 2g+ for the endurance buffer. You'll feel the tingles — that's confirmation it's working.
  • Caffeine in the 250–400mg range. Above 400mg, side effects outweigh benefits. Below 200mg, you're paying for flavored water.
  • Real stimulants beyond caffeine if you want a high-stim formula. DMHA (2-Aminoisoheptane), eria jarensis — these are what separate serious pre-workouts from gas-station energy drinks.

If you read the back of three tubs at any supplement shop, the difference between a real pre-workout and a marketing product is obvious in 60 seconds.

Can I stack pre-workout with other supplements?

Yes, and most experienced lifters do.

Smart stacks:

  • Pre-workout + a stim-free pump formula (like Hype Reloaded). This is the most-requested combination among Blackstone customers. The stim formula handles energy and focus; the pump formula amplifies vasodilation and endurance.
  • Pre-workout + intra-workout BCAAs or EAAs. Standard bodybuilding setup. Pre-workout primes you, intras keep you fueled.
  • Pre-workout + a natural anabolic (like Halo Elite). For lifters in a growth phase, this stack supports both the workout and the recovery.

Stacks to avoid:

  • Two high-stim pre-workouts together. Don't. You won't feel "twice as strong" — you'll feel anxious.
  • Pre-workout + heavy caffeine sources (energy drinks, multiple coffees). Same issue. Pick one.
  • Pre-workout + fat burner. Most fat burners contain stimulants. Check the label before stacking.
Will pre-workout help me build muscle?

Pre-workout doesn't build muscle directly. What it does is let you train harder — and harder training builds muscle.

If a pre-workout helps you grind out two more reps per set, push through workouts you would have cut short, and stay focused across the full session, the cumulative effect over weeks and months is meaningful. More volume at higher intensity is the foundation of hypertrophy. Pre-workout is a leverage tool on the training itself — not a shortcut around it.

For lifters specifically focused on muscle building, the right stack is a high-quality pre-workout for the training itself, combined with adequate protein, calories above maintenance, and — if you want to accelerate the natural anabolic response — a product like Halo Elite or one of our prohormone formulas.

How do I pick the right pre-workout for me?

Four questions answer it.

1. How experienced am I?

If you've been using pre-workouts for a year or more and have built tolerance to mainstream formulas, you're ready for a high-stim product like Dust X. If you're new — or sensitive — start with a low-stim or stim-free option like Hype Reloaded.

2. What time do I train?

Morning or early-afternoon training: high-stim is fine. Late-afternoon or evening training: low-stim only, unless you don't mind being awake until 1 AM.

3. What's the goal of today's session?

Heavy strength day, max-effort attempts, or grueling volume: high-stim earns its place. Recovery day, mobility, technique work, or steady-state cardio: skip the stims or take a stim-free formula.

4. How often will I use it?

Daily users should keep high-stim products for the hardest 2 to 3 sessions per week and rely on stim-free formulas for the rest. Tolerance builds fast, and tolerance is the enemy of every pre-workout that ever worked.

Hype Reloaded Specific

What is Hype Reloaded?

Hype Reloaded is a stimulant-free pump pre-workout — the strongest pump formula Blackstone Labs has ever made.

It’s built for one job: skin-splitting pumps, vascularity, and cell volumization, with zero stimulants. No caffeine, no DMHA, no jitters, no crash. It’s the product you reach for when you want your muscles flooded with blood and you want to feel every rep — without putting your heart rate through the roof.

Hype Reloaded is the third generation of a formula PJ Braun has been obsessed with for years. The original Hype was one of his all-time favorite products. Hype Extreme came next, built around glycerol and citrulline with Alpha GPC added for focus. Customers kept mixing the two together, so Blackstone combined the best of both into a single formula and added a kicker — potassium chloride — that takes the pump further than either version did. That’s Hype Reloaded.

What’s in Hype Reloaded?

Hype Reloaded is a focused pump matrix — six ingredients, fully disclosed, dosed to work. No proprietary blend, no hiding behind a label. Here’s what one scoop delivers:

  • Citrulline Malate 2:1 (6g) — the pump foundation, dosed at three times what most pre-workouts use. It supports nitric oxide production for greater vasodilation, blood flow, and pumps.
  • Glycerol Monostearate (2g) — a cell-volumizing agent that pulls water into the muscle so it expands harder and fuller as you train.
  • Alpha GPC (300mg) — for the mind-muscle connection. It raises acetylcholine, the focus neurotransmitter, so you feel every fiber engaging rep after rep. This is 50mg more than what was in Hype Extreme.
  • Horny Goat Weed (150mg) — contains icariin, which supports nitric oxide production and drives intense blood flow and nutrient delivery to the working muscle.
  • Potassium Chloride (100mg) — the kicker. Most potassium supplements use basic forms like gluconate. Potassium chloride locks intracellular water in so the muscle holds the pump longer and harder — to the point where it’s almost painful.
  • L-Norvaline (100mg) — extends the citrulline effect by further blunting arginase activity, so the pumps stay bigger and last for hours after you’re done training.

Every ingredient has a job. Nothing in here is filler, and nothing is hidden.

Is Hype Reloaded really stimulant-free?

Yes. Zero stimulants. No caffeine, no DMHA, nothing that touches your heart rate or central nervous system.

This is the entire point of the product. Hype Reloaded delivers everything a pre-workout should — pumps, focus, vascularity, endurance — through blood flow and cell volumization instead of stimulants. You get locked in and flooded without the racing heart, the jitters, or the 2 AM stare at the ceiling.

That makes it the right pre-workout for three kinds of lifters: people who are sensitive to stimulants, people who train late in the evening and don’t want caffeine wrecking their sleep, and people who use a pre-workout daily and don’t want to keep building caffeine tolerance. If you want stimulants, that’s a different product — see Dust X below.

How strong are the pumps from Hype Reloaded?

Intense enough to be uncomfortable — and that’s the goal.

The combination of 6g citrulline malate, glycerol, and potassium chloride forces blood and water into the muscle and keeps it there. Lifters consistently describe training back, shoulders, and arms on Hype Reloaded as the point where the pump becomes almost painful — forearms so full it’s hard to fully bend the arm, delts that feel like they’re going to split. That’s the citrulline and glycerol loading the muscle, and the potassium chloride holding the water in so the pump doesn’t fade between sets.

It builds across the session rather than spiking and dropping. The more hydrated you are and the more volume you put in, the fuller the muscle gets.

How do I take Hype Reloaded?

Take one scoop with 10 to 12 oz of water, 20 minutes before you train. Do not exceed two scoops daily.

Drink the water — don’t dry scoop

Hype Reloaded works by pulling water into the muscle, so the water you drink with it is part of how it works. Dry scooping it defeats the purpose — your muscles are made of water, and the pump depends on having fluid to move. Mix it, drink it, and keep drinking through your session.

Load extra water for a bigger pump

For the strongest possible pump, drink the scoop 20 to 30 minutes out and get at least 16 oz of water in — up to 32 oz — between dosing and the start of your workout. Forcing that extra fluid into your system gives the cell-volumizing ingredients more to work with and produces a noticeably better pump.

Can I take Hype Reloaded every day?

Yes — and daily use is one of the things it’s built for.

Because there are no stimulants, there’s no caffeine tolerance to build and no need to cycle off to “reset” your response the way you would with a high-stim pre-workout. You can run Hype Reloaded as your everyday pre-workout and the pumps don’t lose their edge.

Stay within the label: one scoop before training, no more than two scoops in a day. That’s the whole protocol.

Can I take Hype Reloaded in the evening?

Yes. This is the pre-workout for late training.

A high-stim pre-workout taken at 7 or 8 PM will keep you awake half the night. Hype Reloaded won’t — there’s nothing stimulant in it to disrupt your sleep. You get the pump, the focus, and the performance, then you go home and sleep normally.

If you train after work, train at night, or just don’t want caffeine anywhere near your evening, this is the product.

Is Hype Reloaded good for women?

Yes. The stim-free formula makes it a strong everyday option for female lifters.

There’s nothing gendered about a pump — citrulline, glycerol, and potassium chloride work the same way for everyone. What makes Hype Reloaded a particularly good fit for a lot of women is exactly what makes it good for any stim-sensitive lifter: you get the focus, the pump, and the training performance without the racing heart or the jitters that come with heavy stimulants. It’s easy to take daily, easy to take in the evening, and easy to dial in.

It also pairs naturally with the daily supplement routine many of Blackstone’s female athletes already run — see the stacking question below for how Hype Reloaded fits alongside products like Harmonize and Myo-Stack.

Can I stack Hype Reloaded with Dust X?

Yes — and it’s the most intense pre-workout combination in the Blackstone lineup.

Dust X is our high-stim pre-workout. Hype Reloaded is our stim-free pump formula. Stacked together, you get the full Dust X energy and focus profile layered on top of the Hype Reloaded pump matrix — brutal pumps, extended endurance, and the stimulant drive to push through all of it. PJ designed Hype Reloaded to layer on top of stim products exactly this way.

Take one scoop of each, mixed together in 12 to 16 oz of water, 20 to 30 minutes before training.

First-time stackers: start with a full scoop of Hype Reloaded plus a half scoop of Dust X. Move up to a full scoop of Dust X only after you’ve confirmed you tolerate the stim load.

What else can I stack Hype Reloaded with?

Hype Reloaded is stim-free, so it stacks cleanly with almost anything in your routine — you’re not stacking stimulants on stimulants. A few combinations that come up often:

  • Hype Reloaded + Dust X. The all-day pump-and-stim approach: Dust X for energy and focus, Hype Reloaded for the pump. The flagship Blackstone pre-workout stack.
  • Hype Reloaded + a daily routine. Hype Reloaded handles your in-the-gym pump and focus, while a daily muscle-building and recovery routine works in the background. Many of Blackstone’s athletes — male and female — run products like Myo-Stack and Harmonize on a simple daily schedule for protein synthesis, anti-cortisol support, and recovery, with Hype Reloaded as the pre-workout layer.

Because there are no stimulants to manage, you can build your stack around your goals instead of around managing caffeine. If you want help mapping a stack to what you’re training for, the Blackstone team can point you to the right combination.

  • Non-stim pre workout
  • Increase in muscle volume
  • Increase in vascularity and pump
  • Increase’s focus
