Questions:

Cutting Hard - 1:22

Hi PJ,

I have a question, not sure if it needs to be on the podcast, but I wanted more insight on how you went about your cut, how much of a deficit you were in, cardio days per week and overall thoughts and recommendations.

I've attached my plan for my 12 week cut (Macros attachment), as well as two photos. I am 30 years old, 5'8 and 190lb female. I am looking to be quite aggressive with this cut and you can see how I plan on slowly taking away my calories, while using cardio as an additional tool. Since majority of my weight distributes in my things I feel like I could be doing more cardio than planned and maybe even being more aggressive with my calories. What are your thoughts in increasing my current cardio plan, do you think that would be wise to bump that up or mainly focus on increasing cardio only when the weight has stalled? Like I said I want to be aggressive and know that that will come at losing muscle if I lose too quickly, but feel like I have enough fat to lose to take it aggressively. Keep up the hard work, love the podcast!

Respect Our Troops - 8:51

Hey pj

This is a question that might stir up some controversy.

Its about redcon  1 ....

Buy why would somebody start a supplement company and completely market it around the military ??? When the person who started the company has never served in the armed forces himself ???

I find it odd...to me it looks like the person simply uses the military as a sales pitch to sell products under the armed forces umbrella.

Muscle VS Height -  11:02

Hi, this is “achilles_the_greatt” again. I apologize I wasn’t specific enough with my first question so I’ll add some details and I hope it helps. One thing to keep in mind when I made the transformation from 150-193ish is that I grew height wise during that 2 year period, so some of the weight gain was due to a growth spurt. Went from 5’9-5’11. Age 19-21(my current age). When I say bad diet I mean a really bad diet, as in eating literally any types of foods, I focused solely on mass instead of staying as lean as possible while gaining muscle. I mostly ate fried foods and junk food in general, no planned diet whatsoever. I did mostly powerlifting workouts but often overtrained and didn’t work out smart. Somehow I managed to get a lot stronger regardless. It’s hard to know how much muscle I actually gained but i would assume a lot since I was much thinner at 150ish and couldn’t lift nearly as much at that weight. I gained most of the fat in my stomach but everywhere else (arms legs etc.) didn’t change much as far as fat gain. If I had to guess my bodyfat based on looks I’d say I was 16-17%, but that’s just a guess. As  I’ve done bodybuilding these past 6 months I lost fat progressively mostly with a clean diet (fish, turkey, beef, oats, rice etc) and some cardio. I eat 180+ grams of protein each day. I’m now much leaner at 186ish, probably 12-13% bodyfat, having lost a lot of fat and replacing it with muscle. The reason I know I replaced it with atleast some muscle is because I’ve gotten bigger and stronger in the process of losing fat. Same with how I don’t know how much muscle I gained in those 2 years, I don’t know how much fat I actually lost since I didn’t track it with a dexa scan or anything related, but judging by looks it was a lot, enough to where I didn’t have a belly anymore, had visible abs and arms, shoulders, and legs all got leaner as well to where veins began to show again. I guess my question is since I didn’t train smart the first 2 years of lifting nor diet well (as in I just ate anything as long as it had a lot of calories), would I be able to make consistent gains from here on out, let’s say for example 20lbs more muscle in about 2 years. Another factor is I just train a lot different than I used to, doing much more volume (4-5 sets, 15 to even 20 reps at times). There was a time where I stopped feeling sore after what I was originally doing in that 2 year period. But now I almost always get sore after my new set of bodybuilding workouts, especially leg workouts. I’ve heard height usually determines how much muscle you can gain in a lifetime naturally which is why I’m asking if 20lbs more muscle is a realistic goal since I’m already 186 at 5’11. Reminder, I’m 21 and just finished growing height wise.

Alien Attack! - 15:00

Hey what’s up PJ and Josh. I have two questions for you guys.

  1. If you were not working for Blackstone or in the fitness industry in general what would you be doing? I love hearing about people’s history and how it has shaped them. I grew up wanting to be a chef. Life had a different plan and I am now a firefighter and it’s my true calling but I still have a passion for cooking and expressing my creativity in that way.
  2. If aliens invaded and were about to blow up BSL but you had time to save one product. What are you saving and why?

Thanks for being so open and accessible!

Starting A Ranch…? - 19:44

Hi Josh and Peejai 💞

This is PJ's favorite person in the world 🌎🌏🙌🏻. I feel bad because I've made the questions that have lead to podcastening tears 😪😫😭. Thank you for opening up. Today's question is in much better spirits!

Have you thought about being the next Michael Jackson 🎶 and moving to Neverpiss Ranch to have even more reptiles, cats, dogs and a giraffe?

Thank you! I love you always forever near and far closer together everywhere I will be with you 🙆🏻‍♀️🎶🦄🍇🍉.

Questions:

How Do I Improve My Weight Loss? - 0:58

Hi PJ,

I recently became a member of Blackstone Labs.  I've been working out with a personal trainer and he's recommended some items from Blackstone to help with my weight loss.

So here's my situation: I can't seem to lose the inches around my waist and thighs (my areas of concern).   I'm 5'1 and weight 173 lbs. I now have a waist of about 38'in.

My workout regime:

I workout with a personal trainer 4x's per week (M-Th). My warmup is for 30 minutes; my personal training is for 45 minutes, and cool down is another 30 minutes.

One the days I don't workout with a trainer, I consider yard work and house cleaning as my weekend workouts.

My eating regime:

I have oatmeal during the week for breakfast. Sometimes I may add in some blueberries or bananas. Coffee, either black with 1 Splenda or with half-n-half and no sugar.

I have lunch around 11:30am which consists of chicken, ground turkey or lean ground beef, roasted potatoes or white jasmine rice, and mixed veggies (either broccoli, corn with green peas, green beans).

I have a small meal around 4pm which is a meat (one of the above) and rice or a veggie.

I normally don't snack during the day. If I do, it's either an apple or a banana.

My water intake:

Most of the days I manage to get in 1 gallon of water, but I haven't been able to get to 2 gls.

Progress:

After working out for 6 mths, I've lost inches from my waist ( I was almost 45inches) and have gone down one size in shorts/slacks/jeans. I still weigh the same as when I started working out 6 mths ago!!

My dresses fit better even though I still wear spanx or hi-waist shaping briefs to help smooth my mid-section.  I've gained muscle and strength. I've noticed growth in my biceps because some of my work blouses are a bit snug from the upper arm.

My question:

I get discouraged when I notice other women at the gym have lost 20lbs in a 2-mth period and several inches and I'm still at 173 lbs with a few lost inches. Everyone I ask says I'm not eating enough. What do I need to do to lose inches but at a faster rate?

Pre Contest Hydration - 4:37

Since we are in the middle of contest season I thought it may be important to talk about the do's and don'ts of post contest rehydration.  I seem to remember Aaron doing a show and almost dying. I know it had to do with sodium and potassium ivs at the hospital without magnesium.  I seem to remember alcohol post show may have been involved. Can you talk about this topic and specifically that event if you remember it.

SARMS - 5:47

Hi mate, what u think about sarms ? Can maybe be good like bridge, between cycles, after PCT, I was thinking to go ostarine (mk2866) and ibutamoren (mk677) for like 6-8 weeks, both 20mg ed in contest prep. I never tried before sarms, so want to know they work or not? I know I can expect something special, but want to know they work or marketing ? Thank you!

More than Just Lifting Iron - 6:48

I respect your candid approach on bodybuilding, business, and life. I also appreciate the time you take for your fans/customers.

Thanks again in advance for fielding my questions.

  1. I'm on 41, and I've been on TRT for 15 months, 210mg a week. My T is 900 and my Free T is 18. I took 3 pills of Chosen 1, Cardarine 20mg, and Mk-677 20mg per day for a 8 week cycle. Now my blood work shows my Iron as low. When or should I expect my Iron to come back up?
  2. I really enjoyed taking Chosen 1! When can I go back on Chosen 1? How many times can I cycle per year?
  3. And are there any plans to make any BSL stickers or magnets?

BSL For Life!

Get This Fat Off My Back - 9:26

Hello PJ and Josh-
I was watching your video series for the Beat PJ Contest that was leading up to your final check-in and you had mentioned that you still needed to loose a little bit of that lower back fat. One exercise that you recommended was “Dead Lifts” to stimulate the area. Are there any other tricks to eliminating that stubborn fat?
I was wondering if BSL offers 5 lbs quantities of Isolation? The Vanilla is awesome! It reminds me of homemade ice cream.
Does BSL offer any gym towels for purchase? If so, I would like to get some.
Thank you for your time and answering all my questions on previous episodes!

Youth Runs Out Eventually, Right? - 15:55

Hi, my name is Jay, my instagram name is “Achilles_The_Greatt”. I’m 21 years old and have been lifting for about 2 years. Before that I wrestled all 4 years in high school and would work out but the workouts for wrestling were alot different than bodybuilding or powerlifting workouts. After high school and while in college I focused solely on lifting weights and went from the mid 150s to low 190s. The problem was my diet was terrible for the most part and I only focused on gaining mass really fast which is why I ended up with a gut and much more fat than before. I did gain a lot of strength on every compound lift though, but was just less lean. For the past 5 months I’ve been on a bodybuilding program with a clean diet, leaned up, and made great results while losing a lot of fat and replacing it with muscle, and having decent abs, weighing around 186. My question is, am I still in my noob gain phase or will it be a lot harder to build muscle from here on out as a natural lifter?

I love the work you do at Blackstone Labs and will really appreciate it if you can make it to this question.

Hi Harida - 20:00

Hi Coaths!

I think this is the first question I make that's 💯% to get to know you rather than to mainly learn from you. Not considering divorce, what are the 3 situations that have made your soul cry the most? Don't worry I love you always forever near and far closer together everywhere I will be with you 💞💕💖.

Second question is,, thank you very much Coath Josh, I'd send you video previews etc to essplain idea but you blocked my secret IG account lol 😙🙈. PJ could you pls recommend me what/who to contact to get the clips,, shouldn't take more than 1 minute of valuable time of Coaths K, Josh, 🍝, Brittany and you? I was thinking about asking Coath Trevor because he always has a camera 🤓? Sorry, I've been a HYUGE nuisance for months now about clips, but this will be 10x more piss than Generation Iron 💪🏻📽️🎶.

Thank you very much for opening your heart, mind and time to answer all our questions.

Whats going on with methaquad? - 3:35
Whats going on with methaquad?  Ordered over 3 weeks ago and customer service says its still not in. Any idea when its going to be ready to ship?

Blackstone Labs vs eBay - 9:39
I have noticed a big difference in pricing between the Blackstone Labs website and Ebay. For example Recomp Rx on the BSL website is $74.99 and on Ebay it is $33.95. Why is that?
Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I love Blackstone Labs and the Blackstone Labs supplements. Hopefully someday I will be a member of the BSL team.

Where's Jason? - 13:13
Hi I hope everyone listening is having a nice day .

PJ thank you for answering everyone's questions. You might incorrectly use "then" and "your" but I believe you have a brilliant beautiful strong and kind mind, working in unexpected ways like creativity through comedy. I feel privileged to be able to ask said mind questions.
I wanted to re-ask last week's question regarding belief in God etc, but there's a question I think needs to be asked. After asking about my upcoming videos, everyone aaaalways asks me what I know about you and Jason situation. I don't know what is a hobbi sith secret and what isn't, so I don't know what to say. So in short, Where's Jason?
If Jason subject is not to be addressed pls delete that part and leave God question. Lots of love to ya , sickening shoutout to Fitmisc fanbuddies.

What's your HRT Protocol? - 24:25
Hello Pj , curious to now what is your current HRT protocol and what is your expert opinion on taking GH every other day.

Nolvadex - 26:46
Hi pj. Do you think nolvadex is a bad option pct for men. Do you think arimidex will stimulate LH the same. Thanks

B12 Deficiency - 27:46
I have a b12 deficiency called pernicious anemia, a decrease in red blood cells because my body doesn’t absorb b12 on it’s own. All my life I’ve had GI issues, lethargy, pain in my joints, migraines, fatigue, depression, etc. (all of the effects of pernicious anemia). I’ve been to multiple GI doctors, neurologists, allergists, Rheumatologist’s, orthopedics all who told me they couldn’t find anything wrong but they still put me on tons of different meds to help with the joint pain, fatigue, depression, and migraines. After multiple scans, tests, and blood work over the span of about 3 years they found that my b12 was 117 when the average is between 400-900. I was put on b12 pills and went up to 147 after 10 months. They stopped the pills and put me on b12 sublingual drops along with a shot every 4 weeks. THE SHOT BEING ADMINISTERED BY MY DOCTOR. After a year and a half and increasing my shot to every three weeks I plateaued at 367. To add, while getting this shot I would be in excruciating pain for 2 weeks post injection and horrible bruising just to get my shot again a week later. I moved to Florida from New Jersey in August. Found a new doctor and got my b12 done here ADMINISTERED BY A DOCTOR again every 3 weeks. From August to November I went from 367 to 373. Still having post injection pain for about 2 weeks and terrible bruising. I then decided to have Vulcan give it to me at home. From the end of November until the beginning of April I went from 373 to 767! 4 MONTHS!! VULCAN ADMINISTERING MY SHOT. After 6 years I am off all meds besides my shot and I feel better than I have felt in 18 years. I have none of the issues I’ve had for the last 18 years. On top of that I have no post injection pain, no bruising and we are able to spread out my shot to 5 weeks instead of 3.

Going through all of this dealing with the amount of pain I went through for 6 years all because the NURSES AND DOCTORS skipped my b12 levels for the first 3 years and then gave me the shot fresh out of the fridge at 50 degrees and Sub Q when the packaging says “intramuscular” infuriates me. I don’t trust any doctors at all anymore.

So my question to you PJ is how do you know who to trust when it comes to doctors especially in the sport of body building? What do you look for in a doctor?

Thank you so much for giving the legion and I all of your time and knowledge. Blackstone Labs has opened my eyes to so many different avenues in my life that I never thought would be possible and I will forever be grateful!

Chosen1 - 34:50
I’m 46 go to gym 6 days a week. Weigh 185 pounds. Only take preworkout Dust v2 , Bcaa, free test boaster,(just ordered Apex Male) and whey protein. Will Chosen 1 or abnormal hurt me in long run. I have good health. Don’t want to have negative affect.

Horror Movies! - 35:43
As a longtime customer for over 2 years and now a Legion member, it was great to finally meet you at the Arnold and chat for a few minutes, and thank you for the quick picture afterward. You posted on Instagram a few weeks ago about watching a new horror film by a friend of yours, which brings me to my question... if you were only allowed to have 5 horror movies in your Blu-ray or DVD collection, what would they be and why? Which one is your absolute favorite?

Sponsors and Affiliates - 46:50
Can you explain how sponsors and affiliates work? How do you determine what to pay them? Do you offer a standard percentage of profit based off discount code use? Or do you match it? How do you be transparent with the bookings to prove they are getting paid what they earned? What does it cost to get a contract like that setup for sponsorship?

What's your move? - 56:10
How's it going guys? Just wanted to say real quick the on-air chemistry between you guys is perfect. I usually listen during Friday night cardio and I can't tell you how many times I end up laughing to myself or quoting bits and pieces via text to Yvette when I see her across the gym laughing at the same part.
Ok, enough dick sucking, if there is  such a thing.  Well, I wanted to pitch some non-supplement related questions this time around.. as you know (in part) I am getting certified as a sex counselor and sex educator. I feel like its pretty safe to say you've been around the block more than the average Joe (not slut shaming here), but my question is this: Although I'm sure anyone who has had a significant amount of partners will agree that all women are different and respond differently to different stimulation- in your experience, what do YOU think is the most important thing a guy can have in his sexual catalog and why?
Whether its bodily control, knowing how to go down, knowing which angle hits the g-spot or keeping the mental/emotional arousal game firing on all cylinders- what do you think is THE THING a guy needs to get right to help his lady get right?
Thanks for sharing.
